You will need an Elevent account to set up your membership. You’ll need to use the same email every time you sign in.
You can sign into your Elevent account, or create a new one if needed, using the Sign In link at the top right corner of the Newfest website.

Newfest memberships come with two main ticketing perks: an allotment of member benefit tickets that you can redeem for tickets to individual films (amounts and types vary per membership, please see our Memberships page for details! *hyperlink*) and a 20% discount on additional tickets purchased to our events.
Please note that your member benefit tickets have to be redeemed for individual films in order to be used! This can be done online or at the box office, up to the start time of the film as long as tickets are available, but we recommend booking early for the best availability.
To access both your member benefit tickets and your discount, you’ll need to make sure you’re logged in to our Elevent page using the same account you used to purchase your membership.

Please select the option you prefer and proceed through the payment process. If redeeming member benefit tickets, you will check out as usual, though there will be no money owed for the member benefit tickets at the end of the transaction.
During the member presale, you will use this exact same process to redeem or purchase tickets before they are available to the general public. If instead of the option to add tickets to your cart, you instead see this an alert indicating there are no tickets available.

NewFest now longer sells passes to the festival. With a membership you’ll receive the equivalent to the festival pass benefits from previous years, plus more!

The member pre-sale window is from (date date) and allows you to purchase tickets to the full announced program, including any highly anticipated films, before they go on sale to the general public. To access presale, please log in to Elevent on the Newfest page with the account you used to purchase your membership. You will see an option to purchase a ticket, or redeem your member benefits if you have any available to use.

The member discount is valid for 20% off to any general admission tickets to the festival. Please see our guide above on how to use your discount!
Yes! If you’d like to use your member benefit tickets to bring a friend with you, please feel free to redeem multiple member benefit tickets for a film and bring as many friends as you have tickets. If you’d like to use your member benefits to allow a friend to go on their own, please send us an email at members@newfest.org (or boxoffice@newfest.org) after you purchase the ticket with the name and email address of the friend you’d like to send it to, and we’ll be happy to initiate a transfer.
Once you sign up for your membership you will receive a form from NewFest to arrange your NewFest tote bag pick up.

- Redeeming Tickets
- If you cancel or let your membership lapse, any unused member benefit tickets will no longer be valid. Any member benefit tickets that you have already redeemed for tickets to individual films will still be valid to use.
- Access
- If you cancel or let your membership lapse during a ticket presale period, you will lose access to the remainder of that presale period until you renew your membership.
- Discounts
- If you cancel or let your membership lapse, you will no longer be able to use your membership discount on tickets and other products until you renew your membership.
- If your membership includes streaming access, your virtual pass will be automatically added to your account when you purchase your membership. For more information on how to use it, please see our virtual access FAQ here *hyperlink*
- Please note that if you have just purchased a membership, we recommend that you sign out of your account and back in to update your benefits before you try to access streaming.
Yes, if you do not use your member benefits tickets before the end of your membership period, they will expire. If you renew your membership (whether or not your previous year’s membership lapsed before the renewal) you will get a new set of member benefit tickets for the new calendar year of membership, but any unused ones from the previous year will not roll over to the new one.
