First-time directors Lexie Bean and Logan Rozos weave together years of their own personal experiences with the stories of two young trans men, Blake Brockington and Kyler Prescott—poets, musicians, and community advocates who died by suicide in 2015. WHAT WILL I BECOME? traces their joys, struggles, media attention, and enduring impact, celebrating and connecting with their lives through shared storytelling.
Winner of the Amnesty International Film Award at Berlinale this year, the moving documentary offers a close look at the challenges transmasculine people face and opens up an urgent conversation about mental health in trans communities.
