“What TOP did you wanna wear after TOP surgery?” That’s the sincere question posed by filmmaker Ames Pennington, posing as a deadpan TV host, as they barrel into the homes of interviewees in a desperate attempt to make their first trans friend. This brash, satirical faux documentary nods to early aughts reality shows such as “MTV Cribs,” leading to a campy and chaotic romp that sparkles with affirmation for the trans-masc experience.
