Eddie’s biggest ambition is to become a bodybuilding champion. Trapped in his conservative religious community in rural Ohio and under the thumb of his controlling mother (Tammy Blanchard), he saves up money as a camboy to pay for the strict regime of bulking drugs. But as a new coach (Mike Edward) takes him under his wing, a dormant side of Eddie’s sexuality slowly begins to take over.
Starring and co-written by Brock Yurich in a bleedingly vulnerable lead performance, TEST turns the classic sports drama inside out. It explores, with aching honesty, how far we are willing to go to become better versions of ourselves and the costs of chasing greatness.
