SUMMER SOLSTICE
A trans man and his cisgender, straight friend take a weekend trip that pushes the limits of their longtime relationship
Description
The relationship of two longtime friends is challenged during a weekend escapade in Noah Schamus’ auspicious feature debut. Leo (Bobbi Salvör Menuez) navigates the world of casting calls and the limited options offered to trans masc actors; but despite these challenges, Leo has a clear purpose. In contrast, his cis straight friend Eleonor has no clue which way her chaotic life will lead her.
With emotional depth and humor, SUMMER SOLSTICE underscores the impact of old friendships and how connections can both fray and heal with time. As the characters traverse their disunited paths, this playful film paints a relatable portrait of growth and acceptance.
This film will be followed by a Q&A.
