While the film has been widely unavailable for the last decade following its buzzy premiere at Cannes in 2006, it has retained an intrinsic link to the spirit of New York and is prime for reappraisal. Billed at the time as controversial for its frank depiction of polyamory and unsimulated sex, this raw comedy-drama will take both repeat viewers and first-time audiences on a thrilling ride.
