MEANWHILE
A docu-poem in six verses about artists breathing through chaos, created in dynamic collaboration between artists of different disciplines
Description
A docu-poem in six verses about artists breathing through chaos, MEANWHILE is a dynamic collaboration between Jacqueline Woodson (text), Meshell Ndegeocello (soundscape), Erika Dilday (support), M. Trevino (structure) and Catherine Gund (direction). Combining vivid depictions of how artists express themselves with historical and observational footage, the film is a rare cinematic mediation about identity, race, racism and resistance as they shape our shared breath.
