A young journalist returns home to investigate the unsolved deaths at an abandoned psychiatric center in this eerie, evocative psychological thriller from writer/director Matthew Fifer (CICADA)

Description

World Premiere

A young journalist (Cole Doman) returns home to investigate the unsolved deaths at an abandoned psychiatric center. As he dances with the shadows of his past, and a mysterious new man in his life, his family’s history and the town's secrets begin to converge.

This eerie, evocative psychological thriller-drama from writer/director Matthew Fifer (CICADA, NewFest32) was inspired by the films he used to watch with his grandmother. HAZE blurs the lines between reality and imagination as the protagonist peels back the mysterious layers of what may or may not have transpired, prompting the audience to ponder ‘who or what is really hiding beneath the surface’?
