Upon seeing a chair with a gorgeous body – sturdy frame, meticulous handiwork, classic design – Camille (Academy Award nominee Juliette Lewis), a woman who’s never been particularly jealous of any other woman, realizes that she truly envies the life of a perfect piece of furniture. Its usefulness even in utter plainness. Its providing of comfort, relief to all who need it. Through the wishing magic of the enduring body-swap genre, Camille and this chair exchange form. So begins a nightmare of stillness and silence. A woman’s being trapped inside of an object, an object’s essence weighing down a woman’s figure. Feminine rivalry and resentment taken to its most ludicrous, surreal extreme.
