An Evening With Cynthia Nixon (Voice & Visibility Award) + THE GILDED AGE Conversation

Cynthia Nixon will be the recipient of NewFest’s 2026 Voice & Visibility Award. A born-and-bred New Yorker, Cynthia Nixon has created a diverse body of work across film, television, and theater while remaining openly queer in an industry where authentic LGBTQ+ representation can be scarce. She has leveraged her prominent career to increase visibility, deepen understanding, and strengthen the representation of queer lives. As an advocate for LGBTQ+ equality, public education, and reproductive rights, she has had a significant impact on our community and our city.

The evening will feature a moderated discussion around Cynthia’s impact on the HBO Original series The Gilded Age, femme representation throughout the show, and more!
