The premiere season of this outrageously fun, style-shifting local series follows young Brooklynite Alex, who, open-minded as she may be, has never had an orgasm! Prompted by her sex-positive roommate Dara to enroll in a class that helps explore her sexuality, Alex is taken on a hysterical and surprisingly beautiful journey that forces her to examine her identity as an Asian-American woman. Featuring a full spectrum of Queer characters, a whip smart script from writer/director Hang Nguyen, and a dynamic lead performance from Kathy Huynh-Phan as Alex, SIDEWAYS SMILE will leave you supremely delighted and voraciously clamoring for a second season.
