Queering the Canon
This annual retrospective series reimagines queer film canon with a special weekend celebration, shining a light on films that deserve increased recognition for their contribution to the queer canon.
The 2025 edition will take place April 3-7, 2025, and will feature a lineup of screenings + Q&A's
NewFest Pride
NewFest Pride kicks off Pride month with brand new feature films and television series, filmmaker Q&A’s, and social events.

Youth Programs
Through screenings and talkbacks with filmmakers, NewFest’s Youth Programs create visibility for marginalized and underrepresented communities, foster allyship and self-empowerment, and encourage the next generation of queer storytellers.

Our curated monthly series features topical documentaries and narrative films that reflect the wide range of LGBTQ+ identities, giving audiences an opportunity to experience our stories and stay connected to the community through screenings & conversations with filmmakers and LGBTQ+ leaders.
Films will be available in-person at the LGBT Center and stream virtually. Screenings include a Q&A.
