Stuck in a dead-end job under a boss that she trained, Violet Newstead (Lily Tomlin) is at her wit’s end. But when the boss’s good-natured secretary (Dolly Parton) and new hire (Jane Fonda) decide that they’ve had enough, too, their revenge fantasy becomes comedic reality in a scheme that spins wildly out of control.
