From creating, producing, and starring in the groundbreaking Emmy-nominated web series HER STORY, which world premiered at NewFest in 2015, to her series regular role in the upcoming HBO series MRS. FLETCHER, Jen Richards is a trailblazer for trans storytellers and content creators. A writer, actress, and activist, Jen has been a strong voice and advocate for trans empowerment and representation. Join her and Katie Kershaw in a riveting conversation about the importance of authenticity, creating your own projects, and representation in media.

JEN RICHARDS is a writer & actress, as well as a consultant & advocate, and can next be seen on HBO’s MRS. FLETCHER. She is the Co-Writer/Star/Producer of the series HER STORY, which was nominated for an Emmy and won Gotham and Peabody awards. she played the young version of Anna Madrigal (played by Olympia Dukakis) in the Netflix revival of the seminal LGBT program Tales of the City and has recurred in Better Things, Blindspot, Nashville, and Doubt. As a writer, she is developing a limited series with Sarah Jessica Parker producing and a show about trans and queer high school kids with Sony Television, executive produced by Gabrielle Union.

KATIE KERSHAW can next be seen as ‘Amanda Olney’ on HBO’s MRS. FLETCHER starring opposite Kathryn Hahn and ‘Dessie’ on FARGO season 4 opposite Jason Schwartzman, Chris Rock, and Ben Whishaw. Prior to that, she was on Second City’s e.t.c. stage and has toured with Second City, been a member of Boom Chicago in Amsterdam and had the honor of performing in The Second City’s Almost Accurate Guide To America: Divided We Stand at the Kennedy Center.
