This weekend retrospective series shone a spotlight on New York-set queer stories from Black, Indigenous, and people of color that deserve increased recognition for their contribution to the queer canon.

From punk-anarchist activism to popcorn pleasures, this genre-spanning program surveys systemic injustice, intergenerational dialogue, and family bonds (both biological and chosen) while amplifying vital voices. These stories of relationships and rebellion in New York City offered romance, scathing satire, and intimate portraits from Staten Island to the Bronx.

All films and Q&A’s were available May 7 at 12 AM through May 10 at 11:59 PM EST. Streaming anywhere in the United States.
